Monica joined Veritas Wealth as a Paraplanner in September 2025, supporting our advisory team in crafting tailored, holistic financial plans for clients. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from North West University, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State, she brings both depth and breadth to her role.
She has built her career as a Paraplanner, gaining valuable experience in holistic financial planning, investment analysis, and client service – always with a focus on delivering thoughtful, well-structured financial solutions.
In line with international trends, the FPI adapted the assessment processes for CFP® to include a practical component in the form of a Capstone course and a financial plan assessment. The entire assessment process, across the four E’s required for certification (Education, Examination, Experience and Ethics) was streamlined. This ensured that a new CFP® professional is tested in a practical manner across knowledge, skills and abilities components of financial planning, which includes the drafting of a financial plan. We are delighted to announce that Monica received a Distinction for her financial plan. She has now officially achieved her CFP® designation. This is a wonderful accomplishment and a testament to her hard work and professionalism.
Monica is passionate not only about helping clients make sound financial decisions but also about financial literacy more broadly. With her teaching background, she hopes to one day combine these two worlds to empower individuals and families with the knowledge to make wise and sustainable financial choices.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, good music, and dancing.
